Jonny Tsunami
Jonny Tsunami is a big fan of genre bending music. The Filipino native, now living in USA, takes his Asian background and combines it with American pop culture and video game influences to create a unique sound with his music production and dance floor selections.
With the rise of kawaii music in the dance music culture, Jonny Tsunami has gained notable recognition along the American midsouth. Aside from opening for one of the most renowned video game music producers, Grimecraft; Jonny Tsunami has also performed at Mechacon Anime Convention (New Orleans) and official midnight release parties for Pokemon: Sun and Moon and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. He has also performed at many cosplay parties and Asian Moon Festival events, and has even hosted parties that fuse anime and gaming with dance music environments.
In addition to performing at anime and video game events, Jonny Tsunami is also regionally popular as an EDM DJ; headlining events in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. He has performed at many music festivals and notable EDM events; including Euphoria Music Festival, Lizard Lounge, Backwoods Music Festival (main stage), Breakaway Music Festival, Norman Music Festival (main stage), Insomnia, and Robotic Wednesdays. Jonny Tsunami has been direct support for artists such as iLL.Gates & KJ Sawka, Clozee & Psymbionic, Mickey Avalon, and Stalley. He has also opened for Breathe Carolina, Grandtheft, Bleep Bloop, Stooki Sound, Crizzly, Kill The Noise, Tommie Sunshine, AFK, DJ Green Lantern, Mantis, and more. While in college, Jonny Tsunami was also a Red Bull campus DJ for OU, OSU, UCO, and OCU.
